KOCHI: Kochi DCP said actor Vinayakan, who hurled abuses at the police officials, has been imposed with sections which may earn him punishment for up to three years. We don’t yield to any kind of influence, clarified the DCP.
‘Vinayakan's is a personal issue. I am not going into it. When there are issues, the police will go and intervene. Will examine and then say whether the actor’s wife has any complaint against him. The actor creates problems after consuming alcohol. He had created the same kind of issues earlier also. On medical examination, it was found that he was drunk. We don’t yield to any kind of influence,' said the DCP.
Vinayakan was arrested last evening for hurling abuses at the officials of Ernakulam North Police Station. Vinayakan raised a ruckus in the station against the North police for not hearing his version over the fight with his wife.
He also created a commotion in the casualty of the Ernakulam General Hospital when taken for a medical examination by a police team led by the circle inspector. The reason was the gathering of the people seeing the actor. He shouted at the police officials. He was released on bail at night. Many including Uma Thomas MLA had come forward against it.
