National Games: Ancy Sojan wins gold, Nayana bags silver

Malayalee athletes Ancy Sojan and Nayana James won gold and Nayana James silver in the women's long jump at the Bambolin Stadium on the sixth day of the National Games. Asian Games silver medalist Ancy won her first gold at the National Games with a jump of 6.53m. Defending champion Nayana James (6.52m) had to settle for silver by just one centimeter.

The Kerala team consisting of Neha, Anjali PD, Ramya Rajan and Shilbi bagged silver in the women's 4x100m relay. Laya Fatima won silver in women's taekwondo. Sajan Prakash won bronze in swimming 400m individual medley, N Parsida in taekwondo, N Taufiq in men's decathlon and men's team in 4x100m relay.
