IFFK: Lifetime Achievement Award to Krzysztof Zanussi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Polish director, producer and screenwriter Krzysztof Zanussi will be presented the Lifetime Achievement award at the 28th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). The award consists of a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, a statuette, and a citation. Minister Saji Cheriyan announced that the award will be presented at the closing ceremony of the film festival on December 15 at Nishagandi.

Zanussi's films Perfect Number, The Illumination, The Contract, The Spiral, Foreign Body and A Year of the Quiet Sun will be screened at the festival. Zanussi's films share concerns and anxieties about life, death, faith, morality, freedom, existence and old age. Zanussi had participated in the IFFK held in 1998.
