AV Gopinath suspended from Congress

PALAKKAD: Former MLA AV Gopinath has been suspended from primary membership of the Congress for serious anti-organisational activity. General Secretary TU Radhakrishnan announced in a press release that Gopinath was suspended by KPCC President K Sudhakaran MP for participating in the Nava Kerala Sadas against the party's decision.

Congress and UDF have taken a united decision to boycott the anti-people programme of the Pinarayi government which is tormenting the lives of people in Kerala. The government is proceeding with the programme by brutally suppressing activists, including students, youth and women, protesting democratically against the anti-people policies. Gopinath has breached the discipline by participating in such a programme, KPCC said.
