NEW DELHI: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan reiterated his allegation against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the incident of SFI activists showing black flags at him after stopping his vehicle. He said this while talking to the media in New Delhi.

‘How did the police allow the protesters to come in front of my vehicle? The SFI activists were brought to the protest sites in police vehicles. They were arrested and taken in the police jeep. Who is the home minister? Everything was done as per the directions of the chief minister. A conspiracy was hatched by the chief minister in the incident.

The chief minister made a statement three days before the incident. The chief minister said the governor was provoking the students. Are there any students protesting other than the SFI? I have told the chief secretary and the DGP that there is no point in simply arresting the protesters.

The policemen also stood as spectators. There is pressure on them. Should I just sit in the car and watch them hurting me? The IPC has mentioned what action should be taken if the governor is attacked. Still no action was taken. If the protestors come again, I will get out of the car,’ the governor said.
