Shares dais with BJP leader acquitted in murder case of CPM activist, area secretary sparks controversy

THRISSUR: The leader who shared the dais with the BJP leader acquitted by the court in the murder case of CPM worker K U Biju, has sparked a controversy. CPM area secretary K R Jaithran shared the stage with BJP leader A R Sreekumar, who was earlier accused in the Kodungallur Biju murder case.

The incident happened during the inauguration of D Cinemas theater in Kodungallur. Actor Dileep was also on the stage. The court acquitted Sreekumar in the case days ago. There is anger among the CPM leaders. In between this, the area secretary shared the stage with him.

Biju was killed in 2008. The case is that on June 30, Biju, who was going on a bicycle to collect money from the Cooperative Bank, was stopped by BJP-RSS workers and attacked with iron pipes. Biju was seriously injured and died on July 2 while undergoing treatment.
