Killed son in sudden fit of rage, tried to commit suicide: Startup CEO tells police
BENGALURU: The alleged murder of a four-year-old boy by her mother in a hotel in Goa has rocked the nation. Suchana Seth (39), a native of West Bengal and the CEO of Mindful AI Lab, an artificial intelligence startup in Bengaluru, was arrested in Karnataka with the body of her son in a bag. According to the police, Suchana tried to commit suicide after the murder.
She tried to commit suicide by slitting their wrists. The police also clarified that Suchana's bloodstain was found in the hotel in Goa and that she had wounds on her hands. Suchana also told the police that she tried to commit suicide after her son's death.
It has been stated that he killed the child by suffocation with a pillow in the hotel room. The post-mortem report also states that death was due to asphyxiation. There are no other cuts or injuries on the child's body.
At the same time, the police informed that Suchana stated that she did not intend to kill the child and pressed a pillow on the child's face in a sudden fit of rage. She panicked on realizing her son was dead and tried to commit suicide. She has been remanded in police custody for six days.
