'Don't come to teach what governance and struggle are, some writers are showing off'; G Sudhakaran lashes out
ALAPPUZHA: Former minister and senior CPM leader G Sudhakaran has criticized prominent writer MT Vasudevan Nair, who recently raised sharp criticism against power politics. Sudhakaran said that no one should come to teach about governance and struggle. Sudhakaran was speaking after inaugurating the dharna organized by the District Committee of the Kerala Private School Management Association in front of the office of the District Education Deputy Director.
"Some literary figures are showing off by repeating what MT said. They seem to have some issues. It is cowardice to repeat MT's words without telling anything directly," Sudhakaran said.
"The Left has a historic stance on populist issues. Whether in the opposition or in the government, the Left will agitate to help people get their rights. EMS had said that governance alone will not solve people's problems. Did everyone forget that? That is Marxism. Only those who have learned Marxism will know it. One should read and learn it," he added.
After MT Vasudevan Nair, writer M Mukundan had also come forward with criticism against power politics. This is what prompted Sudhakaran to criticise the writers.
