LUCKNOW: Study reports are claiming that Uttar Pradesh's economy will boom as the flow of visitors to the Ayodhya Ram Temple continues. According to SBI Research, an additional revenue of Rs 4 lakh crore will be generated in Uttar Pradesh this year. Tax collection alone is expected to reach Rs 5000 crore in the fiscal year 2024-25.

Jefferies, a research firm, says that Ayodhya will surpass Vatican City and Mecca in terms of number of visitors. At least five crore people will arrive in Ayodhya every year. One lakh people will reach the city every day. It can go up to three lakhs. If an average person spends Rs 2500, there will be an increase of 25,000 crores in the local economy of Ayodhya alone.

Ayodhya will become a major tourism centre in India. Among religious centres across the globe, Mecca has the highest number of visitors - two crore. Saudi Arabia gets an income of 12 billion dollars through this. With 9 million visitors a year, Vatican City's revenue is $31.50 billion.

Devotees going to Ayodhya will also visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and Banke Bihari Temple in Mathura. This will also improve the local economy. There will be growth in areas such as transport, hotels and production of local goods. Employment opportunities will also increase. Switzerland, Italy, France, America and the UAE are some of the countries that achieved huge economic growth through tourism.
