'This betrayal doesn't deserve forgiveness, even chameleon won't change colour this fast'; Congress offers strong rebuttal to Nitish's political switch

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that the people will never forgive Janata Dal (U) leader Nitish Kumar for his decision to change ship and align with NDA. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said Nitish would rival a chameleon when it comes to changing colours instantly. Nitish Kumar just days before decided to flee the touted I.N.D.I alliance and dissolved his government in Bihar in one tumultuous development.

Jairam Ramesh also criticized Nitish Kumar for playing political drama to divert attention from the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

“The Bharat Jodo Yatra will soon reach Bihar. BJP and the prime minister are in fear of the positive response coming for Rahul Gandhi’s yatra. We are on a long journey and it is normal for speed breakers to appear on the road. Nitish’s exit is one such speedbreaker. DMK, NCP, Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress will all unite to face the BJP”, said Jairam Ramesh.

This morning, Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation to the Governor along with ministers Vijendra Yadav and Sanjay Jha. It is also indicated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Nitish Kumar over the phone.
