Gulf country declares three-day holidays during Ramadan month; applicable to people working in this field

ABU DHABI: Al Quwaini, one of the emirates in the UAE city, has given three days holidays for people during the month of Ramadan. The order was issued by Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, the ruler of the city and a member of the Supreme Council.


The order is applicable only to government employees. Working hours have also been changed. Working day is from Monday to Thursday. On these days the working hours will be from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.


Other emirates in the UAE have also changed their working hours during the month of Ramadan. Work from home has been permitted on Fridays.
