"Do not hate our brothers and sisters from BJP": Arvind Kejriwal in message from jail

NEW DELHI: Sunita Kejriwal, Kejriwal's wife and a former IRS officer, read out a message from the Delhi Chief Minister, who has been arrested in a corruption case linked to liquor policy case. In the message, Kejriwal asked everyone to continue working for the society and not to hate anyone, even the ruling BJP.

"Continue working for the society. Do not hate the people from BJP. They are all our brothers and sisters.There are several forces within and outside India that are weakening the country. There is no jail that can keep him behind bars for long. I will come out soon and keep my promises," the Delhi Chief Minister said in his message.

The Delhi CM also assured giving Rs 1000 per month to eligible women in Delhi.

"Whether inside or outside, every moment of my life is dedicated to serving the country. Every drop of my blood is dedicated to the country," Kejriwal added.


Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on Thursday in the Delhi liquor policy case after the Delhi High Court refused to grant him protection from arrest. He has been sent to Enforcement Directorate custody for seven days. ED accuses Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of having a crucial role in implementing the liquor policy, which was implemented only to collect bribes. The ED told the court that all the conspiracy was carried out by Kejriwal.
