POOKODE: What all must have gone through Jayaprakash's mind as he visited the campus where his son, JS Siddharth, faced mob trial and brutal torture in front of his fellow students? He was unable to hold back his tears as the memories of his son suffering brutal torture came rushing to his mind. Jayaprakash on Wednesday visited the hostel room where his son was staying and the campus of the Veterinary College in Pookode in the presence of police.

Jayaprakash visited the hostel on Wednesday at around 4 pm. He remained silent for a long time in the courtyard of the hostel where Siddharth was brutally ragged. He then demanded to see Siddharth's hostel room, which was sealed by the police. The room was opened in the presence of the police. Jayaprakash captured every corner of the room on his mobile phone. There were pictures of Che Guevara and other writings on the wall.

Jayaprakash sobbed uncontrollably as he entered the room. His companions found it difficult to comfort him. He refused to visit the hostel washroom where Siddharth was found hanging, saying that he did not have the strength to go there. He reiterated that his son's death was a murder. Jayaprakash said that the accused committed the atrocities against his son with the knowledge of the college authorities.

Jayaprakash came to Wayanad to meet Rahul Gandhi and submit a petition. Jayaprakash submitted the petition to Rahul Gandhi at a private hotel in Kalpetta. Jayaprakash, who asked Rahul Gandhi to intervene in the case, added that there was a move to sabotage his son's case. Rahul Gandhi responded that Jayaprakash should not worry and that he would intervene in the case.

Jayaprakash visited the hostel on Wednesday after obtaining special permission. People's representatives, including T. Siddique MLA, were also with him.
