Accidents in Thalappara and Changaramkulam: KSRTC bus overturns, one person dies in car accident

MALAPPURAM: An accident occurred in Thalappara involving a KSRTC bus overturning while traveling along the service road where National Highway construction was underway. Approximately 15 individuals sustained injuries but none were reported to be in critical condition. The incident took place around 11 pm last night as the bus, en route from Kozhikode to Ernakulam was reportedly speeding. Rescue efforts were primarily carried out by locals, police, fire rescue personnel and passengers from a following bus.

In a separate incident in Changaramkulam, Malappuram, one person, Cheenikaparampil Sreerag (23) from Anakkara, died in a car accident. The collision occurred when a vehicle traveling from Chiravallur struck Sreerag's car, which then collided with a nearby chapati shop. Sreerag was driving and four others—Vineeth (24) from Akalad, Rahul (24), Vivek (22) and Srirag (19) from Althara—sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
