Injured while attacking locals, suspect in criminal cases dies in Perinthalmanna

MALAPPURAM: In the aftermath of the attack on locals in Karingalathani, Perinthalmanna, a youth died. Nizamuddin, a resident of Karingalathani died. On Sunday night, Nizamuddin, in an intoxicated and violent state stabbed Seithalavi injuring him. Seithalavi is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Perinthalmanna. Subsequently, residents attempted to restrain Nizamuddin. Reports suggest that he was beaten up during this altercation.

Nizamuddin later died from severe injuries after being admitted to Manjeri Medical College Hospital. Police have revealed that Nizamuddin was implicated in several criminal cases.

In a separate incident, an auto-rickshaw driver was fatally attacked in Kozhikode. Srikanth (47), a resident of Gandhinagar was the victim. The incident occurred on Panicker Road yesterday morning.

Authorities state that Srikanth was a suspect in a murder case at Elathur station. However, there are no leads regarding the murderer. It is indicated that the murder was committed by a person who got into the auto but the motive remains unclear.
