False campaign against Prime Minister; action should be taken against KPCC, says K Surendran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran on Friday said that action should be taken against KPCC for spreading a fake video affecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's security. The video threatening the Prime Minister's security was circulated from the official X handle of the Kerala unit of the Congress.

"Through this video, the Congress is raising baseless allegations that the Prime Minister is carrying money in a helicopter. The fake video was first circulated by the same account five years ago. The video was proved to be fake back then itself," Surendran said.

"However, instead of apologizing for it, the Congress is spreading the fake video again. Congress is insulting the nation's military by claiming that Air Force security helicopters are being used to smuggle money. The Election Commission should immediately intervene in the matter and take appropriate action," Surendran added.
