Plus One admission: Online application submission from May 16 to 25

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Online application submission for first year higher secondary admission in the state will be held from 4 pm on May 16 to 25. For this, there will be help centres in all government and aided high schools, higher secondary schools and vocational higher secondary schools in the state. Trial allotment is on May 29. The first allotment will be held on June 5, the second allotment on June 12 and the third allotment on June 19. Classes will start on June 24.

Plus One applications can be done through the website www.hscap.kerala.gov.in from 4 pm on Thursday.

Meanwhile, V Sivankutty, Minister for General Education and Labour, said that an attempt is being made to take political advantage in relation to Plus One admission in Malappuram. The minister also said that seats will be ensured for all the children who want higher studies.

The seats allotted earlier in Malappuram district are 53,236. Out of this, 22,600 seats are in government sector, 19,350 seats are in aided sector and 11,286 seats are in unaided sector. Seats made available through additional batch allotment are 6,105. This includes 4545 seats in government sector and 1560 seats in aided sector. 11,635 seats were made available through marginal seat enhancement. Out of this 6,780 seats are in government sector and 4855 seats are in aided sector.

Decisions were taken earlier this time at the cabinet level to facilitate the admission of Plus One and the education department will take measures to encounter any situation, V Sivankutty said.
