Fake doctor running clinic in Kunnamkulam arrested by police

KUNNAMKULAM: The Kunnamkulam police arrested a fake doctor who treated piles and fistula in Parembadam without the necessary documents. A police team led by Principal Sub-Inspector Jeeshil arrested Prakash Mandal (53) who had taken a rented house in Parembadam in Kunnamkulam to run a clinic, on the instructions of Kunnamkulam Station House Officer UK Shahjahan.

The accused was arrested on the basis of a tip-off received by the Kunnamkulam police. The bogus treatment was done at a clinic that goes by the name 'Roshni Clinic'. Following the complaint, many documents and materials used for treatment were seized during the inspection conducted by the police at the clinic. After medical examination, the accused was produced before the court and remanded.
