NEW DELHI: The police are likely to grill Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kerjriwal’s parents in their official residence in the case of attack towards AAP MP Swati Maliwal. There were major protests after allegations were levelled of assault by Kejriwal's personal secretary Bibhav Kumar on Swati Maliwal at the chief minister's residence.

The police had arrested Bibhav Kumar after an investigation. According to AAP sources, the police have asked Kejriwal's parents to reach their residence in Civil Lines area for questioning before noon today.

It is hinted that the police may soon question the chief minister's wife Sunita Kejriwal in the case. Kejriwal had earlier told news agency PTI that he expects a proper investigation from the police. ‘A fair investigation is expected from the side of the police Should get justice. There are two versions of the incident and both should be investigated by the police,’ said Kejriwal.

The complaint lodged alleged that Bibhav Swati slapped Maliwal seven times and kicked her on the chest and stomach on May 13 at Kejriwal's residence. Meantime, Aam Aadmi Minister Atishi also alleged that BJP is using threats against Swati in connection with a case registered by the Anti-Corruption Bureau when she was the chairperson of Delhi Women's Commission.
