Bus crashes into shop in Kozhikode; Ten injured, including child; Driver in critical condition

KOZHIKODE: Ten people, including a child, were injured when a private bus rammed into a shop. The accident took place at Madrasa Bazaar near Koduvalli, Kozhikode at 7 o'clock this morning. The bus went out of control and crashed into the shop.

The accident involved a sleeper bus coming from Bengaluru to Kozhikode. Locals and passengers of the bus say that excessive speed was the cause of the accident. It is reported that the condition of the driver, who was injured in the accident, is very serious. The driver was pulled out by the fire brigade. Some locals were also injured. The injured have been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. Locals say that speeding vehicles and accidents are common in this area.

Meanwhile, the car of natives of Hyderabad, who were on an excursion to Alappuzha using Google Maps, fell into a stream. The accident took place in Kottayam Kurappanthara. Four people were in the car at the time of the accident. The car was swept away but the four survived. The group was traveling to Alappuzha from Munnar.

A patient died in Kozhikode last week when an ambulance went out of control and hit an electric post. Sulochana (57), a native of Nadapuram, died. The employees in the ambulance were thrown onto the road due to the impact. Sulochana was trapped in the ambulance and could not be saved.

The accident took place near MIMS Hospital in Kozhikode. The ambulance hit an electric post and crashed into a nearby building. Sulochana was being shifted from Malabar Medical College to MIMS Hospital for surgery when the tragic incident occurred.
