Children among at least 24 dead in massive fire at gaming zone in Gujarat

RAJKOT: At least 24 people died in a massive fire at a gaming zone in here in Gujarat on Saturday evening. According to media reports, 12 of the dead are children and many are trapped. Rescue operations are in progress.

Rajkot Police Commissioner Raju Bhargava said that since the bodies were burnt beyond recognition, DNA tests may be required.

The fire is under control. Currently, 20 bodies have been recovered. The Chief Minister also said that an inquiry has been ordered into the accident. Many children had came here as it was a holiday. The gaming zone is owned by Yuvraj Singh Solanki. The police said that a case will be filed against him.
