WhatsApp message of bomb threat during film screening, police search theatre

KOZHIKODE: A message was received that a bomb has been placed in the theater while the movie was being screened. The fake bomb threat was received at the recently renovated Magic Frames Apsara Theater in Kozhikode city.

The bomb threat message came in the theatre's WhatsApp group. The incident happened on Sunday at 8:30 pm. With this, the theater owners immediately informed the town police. The bomb squad and the town police reached the spot and searched but could not find anything. The search was conducted under the leadership of assistant commissioner K G Suresh. The police said that a native of Pathanamthitta is behind the message.
