Drugs worth 25 lakhs seized; two people including nursing student arrested with MDMA

KOCHI: Drugs worth crores, which were being smuggled in a car, were seized by the police in Thrippunithura. Two people, including a nursing student, were arrested. Police said that MDMA was seized from the two during the inspection.

According to the police, the accused did not stop their car during the police inspection that took place in the Karingachira area. Following this, the police chased them and arrested them. One person in the car managed to escape. Two others were caught by the police while they were trying to escape.

The arrested woman is a nursing student in Bengaluru. She told the police that she had come to Kochi to visit her friend. The police said that they are trying to find out from where the accused bought these many drugs. The police said that the arrested people were members of a gang that sells large quantities of drugs.
