After Vishu bumper, lottery dept begin sale of monsoon bumper with first prize of Rs 10 cr

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Lottery Department has begun the sale of monsoon bumper tickets. These tickets were released after the Vishu bumper draw held on May 29. The first prize of monsoon bumper is Rs 10 crores. The ticket price is Rs 250. 5 people will get the second prize of Rs 1 crore each and 5 people will get the third prize of Rs 10 lakh each. The draw will be held on July 26.

76-year-old Vishwambharan, of Plamparambu House in Alappuzha's Pazhaveedu won Vishu bumper's first prize of Rs 12 crores. After confirming the win, he took his sister's in-law Indu Suresh to Thrikarthika Lottery Agency in Kaithavana in Alappuzha. With this, the lucky winner's identity was revealed to the outside world.

Vishwambharan was in the CRPF and took voluntary retirement after 20 years of service. He also worked as a security in a finance firm in Ernakulam. He quit this job during Covid period.
