HYDERABAD: Laughter is essential for the health of body and mind. From time immemorial we have heard that if you laugh, you will live longer. What if laughter itself gets you admitted to a hospital? One such piece of news is now circulating on social media. The incident took place in Hyderabad. A 53-year-old couldn't control his laughter and fainted. Doctor Sudhir Kumar of Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad examined him and shared this through his X page.

The 53-year-old was laughing while enjoying a comedy show on TV with his family. After a while, he couldn't control his laughter. Suddenly the tea cup fell down from his hand and his body tilted to one side. Then he lost consciousness. The family members who saw this immediately called an ambulance and took him to the hospital.

After some time, the 53-year-old opened his eyes and recognized everyone. He did not know what happened. He made a full recovery before being rushed to the hospital's emergency department. The doctor says that he has no other health problems. It is reported that he fainted due to excessive laughing.

The doctor explained that this is a rare condition. This happens when excessive laughing increases pressure inside the chest and affects blood flow to the heart. Heart rate slows down and blood vessels dilate. Low blood pressure and loss of consciousness occur at this time.
Experts say that it is not a serious disease. The doctors informed that there is no need to take special medicine for this. The doctor had told him to do some tests to check his heart health. Also, the doctor advised him to drink a lot of water and lie down for a while if he feels tired.
