Free drinking water connections: Apply before June 12

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Water Authority has announced that all households within the limits of the Palayam and Pattoor Section Offices, under the Central Sub-Division, will receive free drinking water connections. This initiative is part of the Amrit 2 project, which aims to be completed promptly.

Residents in the following wards are encouraged to submit their applications for the free connections: Sasthamangalam, Thaikkad, Kunnukuzhi, Anamukham, Palayam, Pattam, Nandancode, Medical College, Jagathy, Kannamoola, Valiyashala, Vazhuthakkad, Thampanoor, Kowdiar under the Palayam section and Palayam, Vanchiyoor under the Pattoor section. Additionally, residents of Kunnukuzhi, Kannamoola, Thampanoor, Petta, Palkulangara, Vettukad, Pound Kadav, Srikanteswaram and surrounding areas should also apply.

Applications must be submitted to the respective Palayam and Pattoor section offices by June 12. Applications received after this date will not be included in this scheme.

Meanwhile, water supply will be interrupted from June 5 to 7 in various areas under the Thirumala and Karamana sections of the Water Authority. This disruption is due to the cleaning of the groundwater tank at PTP Nagar and the replacement of the electrical panel board at the Kundaman Kadav pump house. Affected areas include PTP Nagar Maruthamkuzhi, Kanjirampara, Pangode, Vattiyoorkkav, Vazhottukonam, Mannarakonam, Melethumele, CPT, Tozhuvankode, Arapura, Kodunganur, Ilipod, Kundamankadav, Kulasekharam, Thirumala, Valiyavila, Punnaikkamukal, Thrikannapuram, Kunnapuzha, Poojapura, Premnagar, Shasta Nagar, Kunchalummudu, Mudavanmukal, Karamana, Kaladi, Neeramankara, Maruthurkadav, Melarannur, Kaimanam and Killipalam.
