Actress Angeline Mariya has responded to the sexual assault case against film director Omar Lulu. She said she was not the one who lodged the complaint against Omar Lulu and that many in the film field are talking about the case by linking her with it. The actress made this clear through a video posted on her Instagram page.

"Many producers, writers and directors have asked me if I was the young actress who lodged a complaint against Omar Lulu. Why are they asking me this? Some of them said that they had suspected that I was the complainant as I am an actress who was very close to Omarikka. I am not the young actress who lodged the complaint. I still have great love and respect towards Omarikka," Angeline said.

"More than a film director, Omarikka is a great friend of mine. No one should call me asking such a question. I have known Omarikka for the last 3-4 years. I personally know him very well. Omarikka is not a bad person. Some people are talking about him in a very bad way. In my view, he is not a bad person. He is a good man. Omar Ikka is like an elder brother to me. I believe that the case against him is fake. The truth will come out one day," Angeline Mariya said.

Angeline made her film debut through Omar Lulu's 'Nalla Samayam'.
