MUMBAI: Students and parents come forward with complaints soon after the results of NEET exam were announced. A complaint was filed with the Union Ministry of Education mentioning sabotage and demanded to conduct the exam again. They are stumped over the high marks which may not yield a good seat.

The results were out on Tuesday. 67 students from different states scored 720 out of 720. This result was a surprise to most of the students. The students themselves said that 67 getting first rank is an unusual event.

In previous years only two or three used to get first rank. Moreover, more than one candidate from the same center got full marks this time. The complaint said that this is also suspicious.

There are many who got 719 and 718 marks. There are negative marks if the answer goes wrong. So, the question then arises how getting so much marks. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has come forward with an explanation.

Officials explained that the extra marks given for wrong answers is the reason why 46 of the 67 students got first rank. There was a complaint from the students that they did not get enough time. The NTA also responded that the grace mark was given on the basis of previous Supreme Court judgments. A media reported that the union ministry of education has received more than 100 complaints. A campaigning is also going on through social media over it.
