Actress Jayasudha is familiar to the Malayalees through her film ‘Ishtam’ which had Dileep in the lead role. She has acted in more than 300 films including 225 Telugu films. The revelation of the actress embracing another religion is going viral on social media.

She got married to Nitin Kapoor in 1985. The actor said that an incident that happened when she went to Thailand for her honeymoon prompted her to change her religion.
‘We went to a resort in Bangkok. I am scared of water and does not know swimming. I always try to stay away from the sea. It is a beach resort. My husband forced me to partake in water activities. I said that I prefer to watch and am not willing to participate in it. He enjoyed all the rides.

On the last day, he said that he wants to partake in at least one sea activity with me. He assured me that he will be there and asked me not to be afraid and that everything will be fine.

I didn't want to disappoint my husband as it was our honeymoon. So, went with him for jet skiing. I closed my eyes. The sea was calm for a few minutes. However, everything changed after going a short distance. I lost my balance and fell into the sea. I felt that it was the end of my life, because I did not know to swim.

When I fell into the water, I thought that I was dying. Being a Hindu, I should have cried calling the names of my Gods but cried calling Jesus Christ. When I started drowning, tried to escape after holding my breath,’ she said.

Jayasudha then claimed that when she opened her eyes, she saw on the left and right side gently flowing seaweed and sun rays, and behind the sun rays was Jesus. The actress clarified that this was the reason for her changing to another religion.
