'Ready to be BJP's face during 2026 assembly elections'; Suresh Gopi MP reaches Delhi

NEW DELHI: Newly elected MP from Thrissur, Suresh Gopi said that he will not hesitate to be the face of BJP in Kerala for the upcoming assembly elections in 2026.

“It is up to the party to decide. I will work hard to fulfil any responsibility assigned by the party,” said Suresh Gopi.

Suresh Gopi arrived in Delhi at 6.30 pm on Thursday to participate in today's NDA meeting. Delhi Kerala BJP cell workers gave a rousing reception to the first BJP MP ever from Kerala. Suresh Gopi is expected to meet BJP leader Amit Shah on Friday.

“I am not here as a representative of just Thrissur, but as a BJP representative of the whole south India. Issues including AIIMS will be raised in the parliament. I will work my best to bring all needed development to the cultural capital of Kerala. Also, I just don’t want to restrict myself within the MP post. Will work according to the party demands” said the actor turned politician.
