VENJARAMMOODU: Re-postmortem based on the complaint filed by the son alleging mystery in the incident where the body of the housewife was found on the railway track. The post-mortem was conducted again on the body of Prasanna (65) at Venjaramoodu Valiyakattakal Ganapathipuram Ambadi. Her body were found on the railway track near Chirayinkeezh Kadakampally on the morning of August 31.

The previous evening, she had gone to her daughter's house in Kadakampally. After she did not reach home even after night, the relatives lodged a complaint with the Chirayinkeezh police. Meanwhile, the police found a dead body of a woman on the railway track near Kadakampally. The relatives confirmed that the body belonged to Prasanna and cremated it in the house premises. But the fact that there was no sign of being hit by a train on the body, the fact that the body was in the middle of the tracks and that the body was not wet despite the rain the day before raised doubts. Although these matters were reported, the police did not consider them. Despite inquiries by higher officials, no progress was made.

Then, on the basis of her son Santhosh's approach to the High Court, the investigation of the case was handed over to the Attingal DySP and to Crime Branch Thiruvananthapuram Unit DySP. Nisaruddin was appointed as the investigating officer. Based on this, Prasanna's body was taken out for re-postmortem.
