NEW DELHI: Calcutta High Court has directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to submit an affidavit within ten days in the NEET controversy. The order is on a Public Interest Litigation alleging irregularities in the examination. The case will be heard again after two weeks.

A division bench comprising Justice Apoorva Sinha Ray and Justice Kaushak Chanda also directed that it be clarified how the reservation policies followed by the central and state governments were implemented while preparing the merit list. The examination papers should be kept safe. The petition has also alleged that the students who approached the testing agency complaining that they did not get enough time for the exam were given illegal grace marks citing the Supreme Court order of 2013 which is not relevant to the NEET exam.
