THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State President K Surendran decried bias from CM Pinarayi Vijayan, who according to the BJP leader has made it a habit to insult Christian clergies. The BJP state president's remark comes in the background of CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s disparaging remarks on Metropolitan Geevarghese Mor Coorilos.

K Surendran:

“CM Pinarayi Vijayan observed dead silence when harshly criticised by Jiffiri Muthukoya Thangal of Samastha. But when a Christian priest did the same, the CM resorted to undignified remarks and abuse. This is a very shocking trend in play.

Pinarayi Vijayan’s core policy is to appease the minorities by remaining as an autocrat. Under his regime, Muslims have a separate rule while Hindu and Christian communities should follow another rule. This is the same trait and policy that made CPM man Regi Lukose post a photo of a disfigured Jesus Christ to show his ire against Suresh Gopi. Pinarayi Vijayan’s infamous remark on Thamarassery bishop is not lost on time.

From his recent remark, it should be learned that the CM and his coterie of ministers will continue the appeasing politics. The state had a people's verdict against the government's communal appeasement, corruption and betrayal. It was to cover all these flaws that the CPM busily engaged with talks about Palestine and CAA during the election season. But the smart and educated voters of Kerala threw away all those ploys and gave CPM a bashing they deserved.”

K. Surendran said that even the Kannur district president MV Jayarajan had to admit that the BJP had dominated the communist strongholds.
