T'puram Corporation will provide milk, nutritious food items to children in Sisu Kshema Samithi: Mayor Arya

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mayor Arya Rajendran has promised all support and assistance of the Corporation to the Kerala State Sisu Kshema Samithi. The Mayor also informed that the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation will deliver milk, eggs and vegetable food to the children of the Samithi's Thiruvananthapuram Adoption Center and Veedu Balika Mandiram for free. It has also been informed that the project has been included in the budget.

The Mayor was speaking at the inauguration of the Sishu Kshemam - Arts Academy, which was started to promote the creative abilities of children at the Samithi headquarters.

"If children learn only from the lessons they learn, they will not get full knowledge and should try to know what is going on in the society and the environment, along with the studies. Involvement in social issues along with studies will help in making good human beings. We should bring up our children in the fields of art and sports,' said the mayor.

Kerala State Sisu Kshema Samithi General Secretary GL Arun Gopi presided over the function.
