School student escapes miraculously after private bus hits her on zebra crossing

KOZHIKODE: A private bus was seen hitting a student while she was on a zebra crossing. The shocking visuals of the incident that happened at Cheruvannur in Kozhikode have surfaced. The visuals show the girl escaping miraculously.

The incident happened on June 7. The bus which was over speeded hit Fathima Rina of Kolathara. The bus hit her while she was walking on zebra crossing in front of a school in Cheruvannur. The incident happened when she was returning home from school.

While she was on the zebra crossing, the bus which was going from Kozhikode to Kalikavu hit her. Fathima fell under the bus under the impact of the hit. She later woke up on her own from there.

Fathima was immediately admitted to a nearby private hospital by the locals. She had body pain but did not sustain any injuries. Despite all this, neither the owner of the bus nor the staff came forward to help her. Her parents demanded action against the driver for his act.

MVD D Sarath responded that the CCTV footage of the incident has been received and the driver and bus owner have been asked to appear today. He said that strong action will be taken, including suspension of the driver's license and permit of the bus. MVD said the student's statement will be recorded today.
