Suresh Gopi’s first visit to Nayanar’s house? Will reach Kozhikode this evening

THRISSUR: Suresh Gopi, sworn in as the Minister of State in the third Modi Government, will reach Kozhikode from Delhi on Tuesday night. He will call on noted BJP leaders of the district. He will also offer prayers at the Thali Temple. He will go to Kannur by train in the morning and will pay floral tributes at the Mararji Smrithi shrine at Payyambalam beach.

There are reports that he will visit Sarada Teacher, wife of former chief minister E K Nayanar, at her residence in Kalliasseri. He had visited Sarada teacher earlier also. He had also shared the picture on Facebook with the caption ‘there was a chief minister like this in Kerala'.

Suresh Gopi may also visit the Kottiyoor temple. He will reach his constituency on Thursday. Suresh Gopi is the Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum. He assumed charge as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas today.

Suresh Gopi will work by joining hands with Union Ministers of Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Hardeep Singh Puri of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Hardeep Singh Puri accompanied Suresh Gopi when he took charge. Departmental secretaries also attended the function. Before taking charge, he called church leaders and sought their blessings.

Suresh Gopi was sworn in as minister on June 9. He won from Thrissur with a majority of over 70,000 votes. There were reports earlier that Suresh Gopi would become a cabinet minister.
