KOZHIKODE: Minister of State Suresh Gopi said M K Raghavan has the right to say that All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) should be set up in Kozhikode. I too have my own rights and had opined about it in 2016. It still exists. While talking to the media in Kozhikode, Suresh Gopi said M K Raghavan’s is bad intentional politics.

M K Raghavan, the designated MP from Kozhikode said AIIMS is not only the dream of Kozhikode, but a need of Malabar, in the meet the press organized by Kozhikode Press Club. The state government has identified the required land in Kinalur near Balussery in Kozhikode. Don’t know on what basis Suresh Gopi said that AIIMS will be brought to Thrissur. He had mentioned the other day that he will continue his efforts for AIIMS.

Suresh Gopi, who reached Kerala for the first time after assuming office as the minister of state, visited the Thali Temple in Kozhikode. 'I have many contacts, with temples and individuals. All sections of people have supported me. I can't detach ties with them. I’ve always been like that. I have started keeping in mind all the people of Thrissur and India. The people chose me with the blessings of God. The officials of Thrissur worked for about one and a half years for this. The people and them are my responsibility now, said the minister while talking to the media after the darshan.

Suresh Gopi will leave for Kannur after reaching Mararji Bhawan, the BJP office in Kozhikode. He will visit the house of late producer P V Gangadharan. He will then offer prayers at some temples in Kannur and then visit the Mararji Smriti shrine at Payyambalam. He will later visit Sarada Teacher, widow of former chief minister E K Nayanar.
