Mumbai doctor finds severed human finger from famous ice cream brand

MUMBAI: A doctor from Mumbai was left traumatised after finding a human finger in the ice cream she ordered online. Malad native Orlem Brendan Serao, a doctor in Mumbai, ended up getting a human finger from the butterscotch ice cream. The doctor's sister ordered ice cream along with other groceries through the app 'Zepto'.

According to the doctor, she was devouring the ice cream when she felt something touching her tongue. Initially, she mistook it for nuts or other ingredients but felt aghast when she took out the human finger. By the time she found out the finger, almost half of the ice cream was consumed. The doctor also confirmed sensing no taste difference in the flavour. Getting traumatized over the whole incident, the doctor filed a complaint with Malad police and handed over the finger as evidence. It has been sent for forensic examination.

The police say that the incident has been taken seriously and there will be a strong investigation. The place where the ice cream is made and packed will also be inspected. Neither the ice cream company( Yummo) nor the distributor has yet commented on the incident. Police also doubt the finger to be of any worker in the factory who may have severed it while being at work.
