YouTuber Shikha Metray aka Kuwari Begum arrested for spreading videos invoking child sexual abuse

GHAZIABAD: YouTuber Shikha Metray has been arrested in a case of spreading videos invoking child sexual abuse. She has been charged with promoting sex with children. The Ghaziabad police arrested the YouTuber on a complaint filed by social activist Deepika Narayana Bhardwaj.

The case was sparked by a video shared by Shikha, also known as Kuwari Begum, on her X account. She has also been charged with circulating obscene videos among minors and sharing obscene images.

Shikha, a native of Ghaziabad, has posted 115 videos on her YouTube channel. Deepika's complaint says that Shikha's videos are misleading people. Specifically mentioning a video titled 'She will say no. Let her', in her complaint Deepika said that Shikha's video conveys the message that men can have sexual relations with women and children without their consent.

The police said that the YouTuber's laptop and mobile phone have been seized. Steps have been taken to remove the provocative videos from her YouTube channel with the help of Google. Shikha has completed her graduation from the National Institute for Fashion Technology, Delhi and is currently working in a clothing company in Delhi.
