THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: National Company Law Tribunal has issued a warning to the Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) for not submitting a reply to the petition filed by the employees in connection with various complaints, including withholding of salaries. The Kochi bench of the tribunal criticized the request for more time to file the reply and informed the lawyer of Supplyco that if this is repeated, it will proceed with the steps based on the available information.

Even when the petition was heard on April 22, Supplyco's counsel had asked for more time and the tribunal had granted it. Now the tribunal has directed to submit a written reply 2 days before hearing the case on July 11.

Supplyco National Employees Association (INTUC) state president R. Vijayakumar and his colleagues filed a petition in March demanding an investigation and audit by the central government regarding the activities of Supplyco. After the preliminary hearing, a notice was sent to Supplyco in April.
