Darshan’s manager found dead in farmhouse owned by actor

BENGALURU: The manager of actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, accused in a murder case, committed suicide. The body of Sridhar, manager of the actor’s farmhouse in Bengaluru, was found here. The police have recovered a video from his phone and he has revealed that he was battling severe depression. The police are examining whether Sridhar’s suicide and murder of Renuka Swamy has any connection.

Sridhar handled all things of Darshan and supervised the actor’s properties. In the video found from his phone, Sridhar had requested authorities not to involve his family in the case.

Darhan along with actress Pavitra Gowda, rumoured to be his girlfriend were arrested in the murder case of 33-year-old Renuka Swamy. Sridhar committed suicide days after the two were arrested. Meanwhile, the police have found that the conspiracy to murder Swamy was hatched by Pavitra and she also prompted Darshan to commit the crime.

Reports said Pavitra asked Darshan what he had done to the person who sent her lewd messages even though he claimed to be a superstar and this prompted him to commit murder. Renuka Swamy was abducted as per the conspiracy. They took Swamy to the shed owned by Darshan's uncle at Kamakshipalaya, tortured him and killed him. He was also subjected to electric shocks.
