'People who sleep on top of piles of money did not help; but that actor helped me even when he had no money with him' 

Apart from being a serial-film star, actress Seema G Nair is also active in philanthropic activities. People came to know about her charity work when she helped actress Saranya Sasi, who died of a brain tumour. Seema was with Saranya till her death.

Saranya died three years ago. Seema helped several people before and after that. In a recent interview, Seema said that she had requested help from many people, including her colleagues, to carry out charity work. She also spoke about actor Nandu, who helped her various times.

"I don't have many friends in the film-serial field. However, I am everybody's friend as I always try to hear out and solve others' issues. Actor Nandu is one of my closest friends in the film industry. Nandu knows almost everything about me. Similarly, I will tell everything to Nandu. I am close to his family as well," Seema G Nair said.

"Nandu had struggled a lot. Nandu always finds a solution to my problems even when he himself is going through some difficult situations. I'll give you one example. Sometimes, Nandu may have just Rs 5000 with him. Yet, when I tell him about a person suffering from some serious illness, Nandu will send me Rs 4000 and ask me to give it to that person. He might not be able to help me every time. Sometimes, he'll be able to give just Rs 1000 or Rs 2000," she said.

"However, I believe that the Rs 2000 sent by Nandu has a value of Rs 2 lakhs. That's because his help comes at a time when I'm going through such a difficult situation. Meanwhile, some people, who sleep on top of piles of money, did not give me anything despite several requests at different times. They'll simply ignore my messages. I have lost so many friendships in this way," she added.
