'I'm not talking about intimidating transport driver on the road'; Opposition Leader mocks Sachin Dev

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader VD Satheesan on Wednesday mocked Sachin Dev MLA for raising his voice during his speech in the Legislative Assembly. Sachin Dev MLA shouted in the Assembly when the Opposition Leader mentioned the bomb manufacturing in Kannur while speaking in the adjournment motion notice. This prompted the Opposition Leader to mock the MLA by raising the incident where the MLA and his wife shouted at a KSRTC driver in the middle of the road in Thiruvananthapuram.

The MLA was irked when the opposition leader said during his speech that the CPM was doing things that were disgraceful to civilized society.

"I am not talking about the incident where a transport driver was intimidated on the road. I am talking about bomb manufacturing. This government is encouraging criminals. Innocent people are getting killed in the bomb manufacturing that is going on with the connivance of the government and the police. CPM should drop their weapons. They should put an end to bomb manufacturing," Satheesan said.

Satheesan raised the matter of bomb manufacturing in the assembly by pointing out the incident where an elderly man was killed after a steel bomb exploded near a house in Thalassery the other day. The deceased is Eranholi native Velayudhan (85). The explosion took place at around 1 pm yesterday.
