Pak captain Babar Azam's new Audi e-tron GT car ignites controversy; Senior journo alleges match-fixing

ISLAMABAD: A senior journalist has alleged Pakistani cricket captain Babar Azam of match-fixing after the team’s ugly exit from the T20 World Cup. Senior Pakistani journalist Mubasher Luqman has cast doubts on whether Babar's eight crores Audi e-tron GT car was received as a reward for betting on the match.

The journalist also demanded an inquiry into Babar Azam's dubious purchase of the luxury car. Babar has come forward with an explanation of the incident. The star player said the car was a gift from his brother.

Luqman retorted that Babur's brother was not financially well off to gift such an expensive car.

“Babar recently got an Audi car. The captain says that it was his brother's gift. So let me ask what is Babar's brother doing just to gift a car worth around eight crores? I inquired into this and I learned that his brother is not in a financially capable position to gift such a car worth whopping money” Luqman asked.

The big allegation from Luqman came through a post in X. Many others have already shared their opinion of the post, which is now going massively viral.
