Auto rickshaw catches fire in Kozhikode; petrol pump staff averts major mishap

KOZHIKODE: In a shocking incident, a goods auto rickshaw caught fire while refuelling at a petrol pump in Kozhikode on Saturday. The timely intervention of staff at the pump helped douse the fire and averted a major scare. The incident took place at the KCK petrol pump in Mukkam North Karassery, Kozhikode. Mujahid, a petrol pump employee, used the fire extinguisher on time to douse the fire. The footage of the incident has been released.

In the video footage, it is shown how flames first emerged from the bottom portion of the vehicle while being stationed inside the pump for refuelling. The driver can also be seen in the video panicking after seeing the fire.
