Rain: Red alert issued in three districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala is likely to receive heavy rain from today as a cyclone has strengthened in the western Pacific Ocean. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced red, orange and yellow alerts for various districts in the state on Sunday. The rain is likely to continue till Wednesday

Red alert: Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur
Orange alert: Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Palakkad and Kasaragod
Yellow alert: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Alappuzha
