Youth hacks mother to death in Mala, taken into custody

THRISSUR: A 27-year-old youth hacked his mother to death following a family dispute at Mala in Thrissur. The woman has been identified as Shailaja of Vadama. The police have taken her son Hadil into custody. The incident happened Sunday morning at 9. Following a dispute, he hacked her on her neck.

Hadil’s relatives said that he has some mental issues. Soon after she was hacked, her neighbours rushed her to a private hospital in Mala, but she was confirmed dead at 10.20 am.
