Fuel tanker overturns in Thiruvananthapuram, driver, cleaner injured

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A tanker lorry carrying fuel to the pump overturned and met with an accident at Thattathumala near Kilimanoor in the capital city. The tanker which lost control overturned to a nearby stream Monday morning at 2.30 am. The tanker carrying fuel from Kottayam to Bharat Petroleum Pump at 16th Mile overturned.
It is reported that the tanker lost control due to the heavy rains that lashed last night, skidded off the road and fell into the nearby stream. It is indicated that the water in the stream has been mixed with the fuel. The lorry driver and the cleaner were taken out and has been admitted to the medical college hospital. The fire force and the police reached the spot and are trying to lift the lorry.
