LONDON: The price of Indian groceries in London have left the netizens shocked. What will be the situation if one has to pay Rs 300 for a Maggi packet which we buy for Rs 28. Similarly, what if you have to pay an exorbitant price for the goods buying at a lower price? One such video has created waves on social media. Chavi Agarwal, a social media influencer from Delhi settled in London, on a virtual tour of an Indian grocery store in London, revealed the price discrepancies that left many stunned.
The woman has shared visuals of a supermarket in London. Chavi also talks about the money that has to be paid in foreign countries to buy Indian products. She said that the vegetables that are easily available in our own country are at a burning price in London. We pay Rs 20 for a packet of Lays in India, but in London we have to pay Rs 95, we pay Rs 300 for a small Maggi packet. Chavi says in the video that the price to be paid for a packet of paneer is Rs 700, Rs 2400 for six Alphonsa mangoes, Rs 650 for one kilogram of lady’s finger and Rs 1000 for one kg of bitter gourd.
The recently shared video has already been viewed by six million people. She got more than 13 lakh likes. The video is getting mixed responses. Some people posted comments expressing surprise at the price of goods, while others commented that the value of money in two countries is different.
