NEW DELHI: Senior congress leader Rahul Gandhi has gifted a car for K C Venugopal, elected to the Lok Sabha from Alappuzha. Rahul gave his Toyota Innova Crysta Car, which he was using to Venugopal, AICC general secretary (organization).

Venugopal was using Toyota’s Etios car earlier. In an interview to a media, he said that he will use this car only for party activities.

‘This is given by AICC. We changed Rahul’s car. The car which he was using has been given to the AICC. I am using that for party purposes. This is party’s car,’ said Venugopal.

KC Venugopal reached Parliament on the first day of the Lok Sabha session in the car given to him by his close friend Rahul. Venugopal is likely to take oath as MP today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath at around 11 am, then Rajnath Singh and third Amit Shah took oath. The swearing-in of MPs will take place after the swearing in of union ministers of state is completed.
